Christ Episcopal Church, Coconut Grove
The senior citizen parishioners of Christ Church in Coconut Grove feel very strongly that the history, tradition, and place that Christ Church plays in the Coconut Grove community be allowed to continue and flourish over the next hundred years. Accordingly they have, through the tireless leadership of David White, created an endowment fund and over the last two years, have received over $50,000 of contributions to this fund. Further and more importantly, a number of parishioners have indicated that they have included the church in their estate plans and with many of them making a commitment for a significant and perpetual gift.
St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Palm Beach Gardens
Charles and Kate Roos were very concerned that otherwise academically qualified children might not have a chance to attend the St. Mark's Episcopal School. Accordingly, they have set up a charitable remainder trust and committed to fund the trust with $1 million. The income from that trust, upon their death, will provide scholarship aid for up to ten children who may not financially be able to attend a first rate parochial school. Several years ago, the vestry realized the important role that Episcopal Charities plays in our Diocese with a forward-thinking and generous decision authorizing 2.5% of all bequests received by St. Mark's be distributed to Episcopal Charities of Southeast Florida.
North Palm Beach Chaplaincy Program
Providing eucharistic services and pastoral care to elderly seniors living in nursing homes as a ministry requiring a great deal of training and dedication. This ministry has now expanded with The Reverend Donna Hall, visiting over a dozen nursing homes in the northern Palm Beach county area. Several churches, as well as, Episcopal Charities provides the necessary funding for this very important ministry.
St. Columba Episcopal Church, Marathon (The Keys)
Many parishioners today, realize the importance of allowing community churches to continue ministering to, not only the parishioners, but the community at large. Recently the vestry was notified that a former parishioner has died and provided for a very substantial gift in her will to be left to St. Columba. This gift will have a profound impact on the ministry and life of St. Columba not only today, but for years to come.

St. Paul's has begun to plan for their Heritage Society members dinner in April 2008. Heritage Society members are those parishioners that have included the church in their estate plans. St. Paul's has been actively involved in this effort for a number of years and some forty parishioners have indicated that they have included the church in their estate plans.
