Eligibility Guidelines & Funding Priorities

Important Considerations In Applying For Grant Funding

Episcopal Charities of Southeast Florida, through The Blair and Agnes Smith Charity Fund and The Human Needs Grant Committee, serves to strengthen parishes by encouraging congregation-centered and parish-sponsored outreach ministries. The ministry of the Church extends far beyond its membership by fulfilling its mission through committing resources that impact human needs and social concerns throughout the community. Established by long time members of St. Nicholas’ Pompano Beach, The Blair and Agnes Smith Charity Fund is used to assist the youth and/or the elderly in the areas of healthcare, feeding, clothing and shelter. Since its inception, the Episcopal Charities has awarded more than $1.2 million dollars from the Smith Charity Fund to parish-based outreach ministries throughout the South Florida community. The focus of The Human Needs Grant Committee is much broader. For many years, the Diocese, through it’s Human Needs Grant Committee has provided more than $125,000 annually to outreach programs in an attempt to alleviate poverty and human suffering in our Diocese.
