Planning for Your Future . . .
and the Future of the Church
|
| |
Whether you have been planning your estate for years or just beginning to think about it, a planned gift to your parish, the diocese or Episcopal Charities, you will create a personal legacy of compassion that will provide for the future of the Episcopal Church.
In 2000, a bequest was left to Episcopal Charities in the amount of $3 million from Blair and Agnes Smith, long-time parishioners of St. Nicholas Episcopal Church, Pompano Beach. Both Blair and Agnes understood fully that they were blessed in life with many gifts and they wanted others in need to benefit from their accumulated resources. The income from their gift, $1.4 million, has been used to feed and clothe the poor, help the homeless, and provide shelter and healthcare to the elderly and youth living in Southeast Florida.
