Making An Impact On The Lives Of Needy People
Local Programs Meeting Local Needs
Parishioners and congregations know the needs of their communities and are better equipped to deal with those issues than outsiders. Inclusiveness: all programs are non-sectarian serving all persons in need without regard to religious affiliation or participation. All funds are directed to programs. Smaller faith based organizations such as Episcopal Charities create efficiencies in directing funds to the targeted and much needed ministry.
Volunteers in Place
There are literally thousands of parishioners in the Diocese of Southeast Florida involved in outreach ministries in their local communities. This is a huge compassionate volunteer base and one that is extremely efficient at meeting the needs of people in their local communities.
Certainly, there is no shortage of needs in Southeast Florida. Several years ago, the predecessor to Episcopal Charities – The Episcopal Foundation of Southeast Florida – did a Diocesan-wide needs assessment survey. Based upon the findings and results of that survey, and other information that has been gathered in recent years, the following is a list of programs that currently need funding
