Our Mission |
| |
We partner with and empower the people of our Diocese in answering God's call to respond to human needs.
Our Vision
The vision of Episcopal Charities is to partner with every congregation in building a culture of philanthropy and launching 100 new outreach ministries by 2015.
These ministries serve disadvantaged youth and their families, elderly and homeless persons, regardless of their religious affiliation.
Our Values
We value equally Christ-centered compassion, faithful stewardship, justice, service, and community.
Who We Are
Episcopal Charities' board of directors and staff met in August 2009 at the Duncan Center to review our values, mission and vision for the future. Led by facilitator Christina Drouin of The Center for Strategic Planning, those in attendance engaged in heartfelt and fruitful discussion and dialog about our history, where we are now, and where we see ourselves in 2015.

Local Programs Meeting Local Needs
Since the mid 1980s, Trinity Cathedral has provided a once a week Eucharist Healing Service and Fellowship Meal to those suffering from HIV/AIDS. In partnership with St. Stephen's, Coconut Grove the healing component of the service has been expanded to include other areas of suffering—cancer, loneliness and depression, domestic violence, rape, and mental illness—for which the power of a healing ministry is needed.
